Hautelocks Exchange Policy
Hautelocks™ strives to provide our customers with the highest quality Virgin Hair extensions possible. We employ several quality control practices to ensure that all of our Virgin Hair Extensions meet the highest standards of quality for our customers. In order to maintain this level of quality, we do not accept returns or exchanges under any circumstances for hair that has been used or altered in any way. Hair is considered used if the security seal has been broken or tampered with in any way. Alterations include but are not limited to hair that has been brushed too aggressively, cut, removed from the weft, colored, lifted, permed, blow dried, flat ironed, or curled. While these are examples of use or alteration of the Virgin Hair Extensions, exchanges will still need to be examined before a credit is given or an exchange is shipped.


Returns only qualify for store credit or exchange for equal or greater value item, never a refund.


If you wish to exchange an item, you must contact hauteline@hautelocks.com within 7 days of your purchase date for in store purchases. You must contact hauteline@hautelocks.com within 10 days of your shipping date for online purchases. The hair may not be used or altered in any way.


Please review our Virgin Hair Care and Closure Care page prior to purchasing if you are unfamiliar with how to care for Virgin Hair or closures.  However, due to the delicate nature of closures, there are no returns or exchanges accepted after 2 weeks.  Any defect or abnormality will be apparent within this timeframe.  Any alterations made to the closure voids the 2 week defect exchange period.
As we strive to provide the Purest Virgin Hair, the extensions are not colored in any way prior to our customers receiving them. Our hair is described as natural color which is similar to beauty supply 1B or 2. 
During our quality control process each piece is individually examined to isolate any potential problem pieces. In the event you feel that you have received a piece that is defective, please follow our exchange process.


Exchange Process
1) Contact hauteline@hautelocks.com with your order number and the reason for the exchange.
2) Return your unaltered order to Hautelocks™, 2029 Harrison St, Bay 4, Hollywood, FL, 33020
3) Upon review, if your order is truly defective, we will issue you a store credit equal to the sale price of the defective piece(s) and you will be notified by email. Store credits may be used to purchase anything in the store and are valid for one year after it is posted to your account.
4) Upon review, if it is determined that the piece(s) are not defective, they will be returned to you with additional virgin hair care instructions.
